The painting of the Countess of Paris, depicted as the Duchess of Vendôme pregnant with her daughter Princess Jacinta, was presented to the public for the first time. This painting measuring 195 x 97 cm was completed in oil according to the academic technique. It is exhibited at the ephemeral Great Palace on the Champ de Mars from 16th to 20th February and it is visible in the large hall in D1.
During the Salon, the artist was awarded a Silver Medal by the jury of the Society of French Artists for this large full-length portrait that did not go unnoticed.
